On 4 June 2024, Law To Impact HUB hosted the 1st Participatory Workshop for the Thessaloniki Social Atlas, co-organised by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, School of Architecture AUTh, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation Thessaloniki.
The purpose of the workshop was to inform individuals and institutions across the city about the Atlas and explore ways in which they could contribute. In the first part, the team presented various aspects of the project, led by Vivian Kounio from the Böll Foundation, Loukas Triantis and Kostas Cheliotis from AUTh. In the second part, the team recorded participants’ ideas and expectations for enriching the Atlas content and identifying possible synergies, led by Evie Athanassiou, Vasilis Pangalos and Charis Christodoulou. The workshop was moderated by Giorgos Melissourgos from the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
The Thessaloniki Social Atlas is a dynamic, open digital platform that collects, presents and disseminates topics concerning the changing urban geographies of Thessaloniki, with an emphasis on the city’s recent transformations. An initiative that shares scientific knowledge with the wider public and makes it genuinely accessible.
