On 24 and 25 June 2024, Thessaloniki hosted the major international conference “Shipwrecked. Rethinking Migration and Asylum in Europe”, organised by the Heinrich Böll Foundation. Over 130 experts from around the world — activists, lawyers, journalists, academics, politicians and members of civil society organisations — gathered for two days to discuss and examine the current state of migration and asylum in Europe.
Law To Impact HUB hosted one of the conference workshops on 24 June, contributing to a conversation that sits at the heart of law and social justice. In a Europe adopting increasingly strict migration and asylum policies, the role of civil society and the rule of law has never been more relevant.
