On 14 July 2025, during the “17 Sustainable Development Goals” exhibition hosted at Law To Impact HUB, Ricardo Ferrer, Spanish language teacher at the Instituto Cervantes, chose to hold his class in the space. The exhibition inspired him so much that he decided to bring his students here instead of the Institute.
His students — working adults aged 25 to 65 who simply love the Spanish language — left with more than just a lesson. After class, Anastasia Akritidou organised a participatory sustainability workshop, designed to move everyone from theory to action. As part of a “mini Ideas Hackathon for a More Sustainable World”, each participant chose one of the 17 SDGs, presented it in Spanish, and added a small personal daily commitment on a post-it note. The resulting “wall of commitments” filled with colourful post-its — and everyone left knowing what the SDGs mean and what we can each do in our everyday lives to help achieve them.
